Juilliard Journal about her experience performing at the United Nations, and how it impacted
her as an artist.

Tribute
On September 19, 2003, by the invitation of the United Nations, Ms. Lawperformed
at the UN’s General Assembly in a memorial ceremony (“A Tribute ToOur
Fallen Colleagues”) for the Secretary General Kofi Annan, UN staff andfamily
members of those who lost their lives in the attack on the UNcompound
in Baghdad, Iraq in August 2003.
